- Watt (W)
- A unit of power. Ask whether a number describes measured input, a maximum rating or charger output.
- Kilowatt-hour (kWh)
- A unit of energy. A constant 1,000-watt load running for one hour uses 1 kWh.
- Standby power
- Energy use while a device is not actively being used. A nameplate maximum is not a standby measurement.
- USB-C
- A connector type. Check the supported power, data and video functions separately.
- Data rate
- A stated transfer capability. Ask which devices, ports and cable support it; a headline number is not a promise about every real transfer.
- DisplayPort Alternate Mode
- A way compatible USB-C equipment can carry a DisplayPort signal. Verify support through the whole intended connection.
- Backup
- A separate copy intended for recovery. Ask where it is, when it was made and whether you have checked it.
- Compatibility
- Whether the exact products can do the intended job together. Similar names and matching shapes are clues, not proof.
